JCB takes its name from its founder's initials: Joseph Cyril Bamford. JCB is an English manufacturer of heavy equipment that has been in business since 1945. Today, JCB has manufacturing bases in the UK, United States, India, Germany and South America. JCB employs over 6,000 people and produces over 250 products. Despite its large size, JCB remains a family-owned company with no outside shareholders. JCB takes pride in the fact that family ownership gives them an old-fashioned work ethic.
JCB's product range includes several different loader varieties. JCB makes Wheeled Loaders and Skid Steer Loaders. JCB loaders are fully test run 24 hours per day to simulate the toughest of working conditions.
JCB makes over a dozen different wheeled loaders. Their smallest model is a 75 hp unit with a maximum operating weight of over 20,000 pounds. The small JCB loaders offer uncompromised performance, an easy-to-use design, modern styling and a comfortable and quiet working environment. They have fast cycle times, excellent rollback, dump angles and powerful breakout. JCB loaders integrate return to dig and parallel lift technology for fast cycle times. Minimal pivot pins mean low maintenance. JCB's wheeled loaders top out with three 216 hp units with maximum operating weights of over 44,000 pounds.
JCB makes three models of Skid Steer loaders. Their Skid Steer loaders are compact and maneuverable. They allow direction changes to be made within machine length for quick and easy work in confined spaces. A variety of available attachments make JCB loaders extremely versatile. Maximum operating capacity for JCB Skid Steer loaders ranges from 1500 pounds to 2300 pounds. Two Skid Steer models use wheels while the other uses tracked propulsion. The tracked version gives excellent stability, traction and low ground bearing pressures. This unit can be used in a wider range of applications than the wheeled variety. They work especially well in winter time.
